Trailers and Promos
Shirley Thompson Editorial has been creating on-air promos and trailers for PBS' Independent Lens for eight seasons, as well as for the Independent Television Service and for individual filmmakers. Whether its a sexy sizzle videos for a big presentation, a tight two minute trailer for a website, or a dramatic sample reel for a potential funder, Shirley is a thoughtful, creative collaborator with a high energy editing style. Her skillful hand with graphics and music offer fresh looks, even on the tightest deadline.
The QuickTime plug-in is required to view short sample clips.
Trailers
This splash video for ITVS International's Global Perspectives Project is featured on the ITVS home page and was screened in Washington DC at the season premiere party.
For three seasons we have edited the trailers for the ITVS.org/international website, at times growing a five member editorial team to create over 60 trailers, which also get used by PBS, Sundance Channel, IFC and other broadcasters which air the films. Here's one of our favorites for a terrific film called Garbage Warrior.
STE has created trailers & promos for six seasons of PBS' Independent Lens series. This trailer for the film The Weather Underground screened for the Television Critics Association, one of the most important promotional events for the series each spring and fall.
A trailer we created for Afghanistan Unveiled screened before the Television Critics Association meeting.
